Surprise — I recently had the chance to interview Nusier Yassin of Nas Daily and Nas Academy on the Lifelong Educators Show — a podcast that I co-host with the CEO of my client Clickto, Dotan Tomir. Nusier is by far the biggest star I’ve ever interviewed, and I’m incredibly honored to have had the experience.
Nusier is unique in the best way. He is hugely successful yet equally humble. He’s revolutionary yet grounded. He’s great at what he does, yet grateful to hear the feedback and opinions of others along the way.
I can’t wait to share the actual footage with you all. But for now, let’s look into the detailed preparation process this interview entailed.
Preparing for the Show — Washington Football Team Style
As much as I was honored by the opportunity to interview Nusier, I was also nervous about the process.
I put a lot of time and preparation into my show notes — even reaching out to a mentor of mine, Larry Michael, in the process. Larry is the former voice of the Washington Redskins, and was always absolutely incredible at preparing well but letting the game guide his words at the same time.
Larry gave me the advice I needed to take the same approach on the show with Nusier. Just glancing at my show notes below will show you the extent I went through with the process:
These notes are written in gameday style — filled with supportive information and plenty of blank spaces to react to the words that come across on the air.
I had key information in front of me, but I responded to real-time information successfully in between each piece. It led to me feeling exhilarated, inspired, and accomplished.
I’m proud of this interview, and I’m thrilled by the amount of motivating information that was shared with our guests, too. Nusier’s story and advice alone are filled with inspiration, and I hope our interview adds even more value.
If you haven’t watched the show yet, you can see it for yourself here. Our incredible guest’s experience has something for everyone, and I’m looking forward to hearing what you think!
